
Winter Competition Team Registration Structure
Total team cost payable at start of season (based on 7 players)
SCNA Winter Competition 2023
This competition runs through Terms 2 and 3, beginning Tuesday 2 May. There will be 16 rounds, followed by two rounds of finals for Junior and Senior divisions. Beginners will not play finals, but will instead play 18 rounds. Games will not be played during the two weeks of school holidays (weeks commencing 26 June and 3 July , 2023).
Team registrations will be open from Monday 27 March, 2023.
Beginners Division - Age 10 & Under (10U)
Team fees: $1,080*

The minimum age for this competition is 7 and players must be 7 as of 1 May 2023 (first round of winter competition).

This is a mixed division and boys are welcome and encouraged to join this competition.

Players can turn 10 at any stage during this competition, but cannot turn 11 during the winter competition (ends 14 September 2023).

Games are usually played between 4pm and 6pm on a Tuesday night at Wurdi Baierr stadium. Times TBC depending on the number of Beginner teams in the winter comp.

There are no finals for beginners. All teams play a full 18 rounds.

Beginners will use a size 4 ball and games will be scored.

All teams must provide a scorer for every game.
Juniors Division - Age 12 & Under (12U)
Team fees: $1,080*

The minimum age for this competition is 10 and players must be 10 as of 1 May 2023 (first round of winter competition).

MVP points will be awarded by umpires at the conclusion of each game with an overall 12U MVP trophy awarded at the end of the Winter Competition.

All players must play a minimum of 5 games during the winter competition and be officially registered to that team to be eligible for finals.

Seniors Division - Age 18+
Team fees: $1,300*

Players must be 18 and over to join the Seniors division, however exemptions can be made at the discretion of the coach and match umpires.

Players must be at least 15 to take the court.

If there are 12 or more Seniors teams registered for the winter competition, teams will be graded and separated into A grade and B grade. There will be a separate fixture and finals for each grade.

Games are usually played between 6pm and 9pm on Tuesday nights at Wurdi Baierr stadium. Exact game times are TBC depending on number of Senior teams in the winter comp.

Seniors will play 16 rounds followed by 2 rounds of finals with the top 4 teams after 16 rounds making the finals.

All games will be scored and each team must provide a scorer.

MVP points will be awarded by umpires at the conclusion of each game with an overall Seniors A Grade and Seniors B Grade MVP trophy awarded at the end of the Winter Competition

* Please note:
All team fees are due upfront prior to the start of the winter competition and will help to cover court hire costs and umpire payments for the entire season. No weekly payments will be accepted. All payments will be made during the team registration process through Netball Connect. Teams must nominate a team manager to register the team and make the winter competition payment in full.
